CoVi is the first visual think tank which explore, develop and share innovations in policy and practice using visual and accessible tools and channels. They convene civil society leaders and curate research and discussion around common purpose and shared values, beyond conventional ‘left wing’ and ‘right wing’ partisan debates. In doing so they aim to promote civic engagement beyond a politically active minority.

This isn't the most interesting video of all time but it is an important watch for this Project.. It is basically a panel talking about the future. What their predictions are and what they think is the greatest or most significant factors for the year 2060. They talk about the exciting change that could be a more borderless world! They tell us that we are going to have to engage with nature, implanting vegetation on our buildings in an attempt to make up for destruction on rainforests.
|
This video isn't necessary the main message we want to deliver to our viewers, as it is based more on conspiracy rather than fact... Relevant but nonetheless still conspiracy. I would say that the first, maybe three minutes is pretty enlightening and when I first came across this video, I thought we could maybe use it as a short intro. however since stumbling across this video I have since found better audio's and speeches that I feel that would be of greater interest.

This is the legendary comedian Charlie Chaplin, who was a well known mime. This clip was taken from 'The Great Dictator' 1940, which was only his second sound film. Charlie Chaplin tells us a truly touching and moving speech. He speaks from the heart, full of emotion. It is an overwhelming yet beautiful speech where he outlines the social issues of the time all of which has to mentioned is very relevant today, over 70 years later! As a mime artist, it made the experience the more powerful, as he delivered, arguably, one of the best speeches to mankind!

Anonymous, a group of activists, or otherwise known as hacktivists, are a powerful group who have only become well known in the last decade. They cleverly use the internet as a weapon towards those who have power and try to enslave others. They deliver strong messages and are not afraid to speak their mind. This speech is about mankind's fate! One of which is actually very relevant to our project.

CONCEPTS:
ENVIRONMENT |
|
This is my next concept of the environment, I took a different approach when designing this hub. For example, in contrast to the concept above, I used a circular layout instead of a corridor like composition. I integrated multiple objects of which the user can interact with. The computers will display social topics. As well as this, there are pieces of paper plastered on the back wall, as well as a torn map the viewer can explore. |
This the first concept i done of the space station, the idea is, the circular door at the end of the room would be the floatation tunnel of which the viewer would fly down in the opening sequence. Once in the Space Hub, there are 3 doors on the left of which the user can explore, each room representing a different social issue. ie Global warming room, will have all information about what global warming is, the affect it has had, and how we should've prevented it.
This was my third environment concept design, This was a different kind of structure as I based it on a Two-story floor

QUIXEL
|
Substance Painter is a 3D painting software allowing you to texture, render and share your work. ... Use a complete and familiar set of texturing tools: PBR and particle painting, Substance procedural effects, smart materials and smart masks, and fast baking
|
Quixel is a texturing software allowing the texturing artist to easily paint straight onto the 3D model, with clean uv's. I am mainly going to use Quixel to create Normal maps for the character in the scene. This will save a lot of rendering power as the system won't have to compute a high poly mesh.
